Can you consolidate orders from several suppliers into one container?
+
Yes. Each supplier delivers to our Miami hub, we keep dry and refrigerated lines apart, build the mixed pallets and ship one container with a single bill of lading, so the store receives one shipment instead of six.
Do you handle both dry and refrigerated grocery lines?
+
Yes. Ambient, chilled and frozen product travel in the right equipment and stay separated in the warehouse, with the cold chain unbroken from pickup to the distribution centre. Chilled lines are commonly held between 0 and 4 C and frozen lines at -18 C or colder.
Can you deliver into a distribution centre appointment window?
+
Yes. We book the delivery appointment and plan the inland leg around it, so the truck arrives inside the window and the load is not rejected at the dock. Distribution centers assign appointments by dock door and time slot, and a truck that arrives outside its slot can be rescheduled or refused.
How is a mixed grocery container priced?
+
By the container, not by supplier: you pay one ocean rate plus the consolidation, storage and inland legs. Send the pallet mix and destination and we confirm the rate within one business day. Cost lines separate ocean freight, consolidation and storage in Miami, inland trucking and customs and FDA entry, so each can be compared.
What documents does a grocery import need?
+
Bill of lading, commercial invoice and packing list per supplier, consolidated into one entry, plus FDA prior notice for food entering the United States and the health or phytosanitary certificate the destination requires. For ocean cargo, the ISF 10+2 must be filed 24 hours before loading, and a customs bond covers the entry.
What do supermarkets check when an importer delivers straight from the airport?
+
Three things, in this order: that the food entry cleared and the FDA released it, that the cold chain record shows no gap between the aircraft and the truck, and that the pallet arrives store-ready with the right labels on a booked appointment. Miss any of the three and the delivery is refused at the dock.
Do you handle raw fish and seafood for supermarkets?
+
Yes, frozen and chilled, with FDA prior notice filed before arrival and the set point logged from origin. Seafood is the line where an entry gets held most often, so the paperwork goes in early rather than on arrival. Seafood importers must also verify that foreign processors follow the FDA seafood HACCP rule (21 CFR Part 123).
How far in advance should a supermarket book a consolidation?
+
Give your suppliers the cut-off day, not us. We close containers on a fixed weekly day, so a purchase order placed early enough for the vendors to deliver into our Miami position by that cut-off makes the sailing; anything later rolls to the next one.
Can you build store-ready pallets with our labels?
+
Yes. Pallets are built to your planogram with your labels and pallet tags, so the receiving team at the distribution centre does not have to rework the load before it moves to the floor. Pallets follow the receiver's standard, such as 48 x 40 inch GMA pallets, with GS1 SSCC labels so the distribution center can scan each pallet at the dock.
