Are cosmetics considered dangerous goods?
+
Some are. Alcohol-based perfumes, aerosols and nail products are flammable and ship under the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations by air or the IMDG Code by sea, with UN number, class and packing group. Creams, powders and most skincare travel as general cargo.
Can you ship perfume and aerosols by air?
+
Yes, as declared dangerous goods with approved packaging and quantity limits per package. When the volume makes air impractical we move the same line by ocean, where the limits are wider and the rate is lower.
Do cosmetics need temperature-controlled storage?
+
Emulsions, active ingredients and some packaging degrade with heat, so we hold them in climate-controlled areas rather than ambient racking. Lot codes and expiry dates are recorded on receipt and rotated FIFO.
What documents does a cosmetics shipment need?
+
Bill of lading or air waybill, commercial invoice and packing list, plus the safety data sheet and dangerous goods declaration for flammable lines. Destination labelling and ingredient lists are checked before the cargo ships.
Can you handle e-commerce fulfillment for cosmetics?
+
Yes. We receive, store and pick from Miami, feed retail or online orders and process returns, with inventory visible online including photos, weight and dimensions.
Do you have a climate-controlled cosmetics warehouse?
+
Yes, in Miami. Emulsions, serums and colour cosmetics hold their stability in climate-controlled space; the same pallet in an ambient warehouse through a Florida summer is how a batch separates without anyone noticing until the shelf.
How should cosmetics be stored so a formula does not separate?
+
Stable temperature matters more than a low one: repeated heating and cooling breaks emulsions faster than a steady warm room. We hold a set point, log it, and keep aerosols and alcohol-based product in their own segregated area.
Do you track batch and expiry on cosmetics?
+
Yes, from receipt. Batch and expiry are captured on the pallet, so a market withdrawal is a query against the record rather than a physical search through the warehouse.
Can you relabel or kit cosmetics for a destination market?
+
Yes. Relabeling for local ingredient and language requirements, bundling for a promotion and kitting into gift sets all happen in the same building as the storage, so a launch does not need a second vendor and a second handoff.
